Hey all,
Save the status of our club's arguments to later please.

Firstly, I am damn sorry for creating this debt and all the problems that followed. It was the fault on my part.
But hey, since HELP is being such a big HELP, lets put it aside first.

Why not, let us focus on these two things:
1) Raise 700 ringgit
2) Put them into Jyn's hands

Everyone understand clearly?

Option #1
I will try selling pizzas at the usual place, Block E, this coming wednesday.
I need someone with a domino's card to get it dirt cheap (buy1 free1) cuz i don't have it.
100% of profit after raising RM 700 goes to HELP ULTIMATE FRISBEE members

Option #2
We sell discs by lottery method (or whatever name it has). We sell tickets (I'll come up with the tickets) and only one (or a few depending on how well the ticket sales goes) wins the disc(s).

Option #3
We persuade Mr. Kam Jiu Hwei to sing a song to any lecturer for RM 50 in donation collections per song per lecturer anytime during working hours, minimum donation RM 1. (Cheap guy)

We ask Mr. Eka Pramuditha bin Widodo to sing a song for Mr. Ho Kin Chan if people will donate any amount and it reaches RM 200. (A little more expensive)

We beg Mr. Michael Jason Campton or that cheap guy up there to shave his head with a video taken of the shaving process if donations reaches RM 1,000
(RM 25o to compensate Ms. Nabilah Shuaib, RM 50 for haircut at professional saloon)
(As for that cheap guy, RM 250 goes to HELP ULTIMATE FRISBEE, RM 50 for him to get head gear).

Selling Discs

Guys we need to sell all the seventeen discs to recover our debts. As outlined in the meeting, selling discs is our club's main priority to recover debts.

Please inform your pals and spread the words. We MUST sell the discs!

Deadline is 1st of April.

For more information on discs, please consult with Kok/Aaroni.

Tell this to whoever you know that play frisbee. I will try to force the new members to buy some.

Youth Leadership Academic Program

LOH KONG KEN:

Dear clubs,

Please take note that there will be a talk on Youth Leadership Academic Program on Wednesday, 25/03/09 in the Theatrette from 12:00 noon to 2:00pm.

Each club is required to send a minimum of 2 representatives to the talk and attendance is compulsory. Attendance will be taken on that day, so choose your representatives wisely.

Deregister the Club

I am planning to deregister (disband) the HELP Ultimate Frisbee club.

However, some of you might want the club to stay. After all, Carroll and the old HELP teams have been working hard to raise this club to be one of the most "active" club in the whole HELP.

However, like I said, every time there's an activity participation required by DSA, no one but me will have to attend it. If that's how it's going to be, I am just going to disband the club as it's a waste of time to go to meetings after meetings and talks after talks for a club that the members could care less.

We have already acquired new members, so that's it.

I have created a poll here and I hope you will vote in it. On 25th of March, I will make the final decision on what the club's fate will be based on the results of the poll. Please only vote once.

Spread the words please to other members and ask them to vote. That's the last thing you can do for the club.

Desperately need help otherwise we won't be mending our recruitment drive (which means we might piss DSA off).

11th March 2009 (Recruitment Drive)

Hi guys,

Some big announcements to make. On 11th of March, as most of you are aware, there will be a recruitment drive for us in Lower Foyer, main block.

FFK
The drive starts at 10 till 3. Me, Han Ming and Kok is supposed to take care of the booth at 10-12. However, and unfortunately, me and Kok will be having mid-term -- which is BAD. really bad. So, I don't want us to be there and screw up our CGPA for something with HELP's name on it.

Call me selfish...yeah whatever.

Okay, so there's han ming only and i dun expect him to do everything by himself. Please volunteer and spread the word around so we can at least set up the booth.

I will try to find someone who can set up the booth. I have yet to talk to Jeremy and a couple of people yet. So probably I will fix this up ASAP. BTW, anyone got the three new girls' numbers?

Okay, I am going to call Felix to print out about 8 photographs of HUO and etc. That's what we will be using. I hope someone can bring laptop as well with some videos taken from YouTube which I hope Mike can do it.

Recruitment Drive! Here's our chance at getting more members !

Dear Clubs,

As announced at the HJSC meeting, DSA will be having a Club Recruitment Drive on Wednesday, 11/03/09 at the Lower Foyer (Main Block) and Wednesday, 18/03/09 at DSA Wisma HELP from 10:00AM to 3:00PM.
All clubs are invited to participate in this major recruitment drive and those that are interested are to reply to this email not later than Friday, 04/03/09.

Note that display boards will be prepared for the clubs to put up a maximum of 3 photos exhibiting the club's activities.

Clubs that will be participating in the recruitment drive are required to:

1. Prepare a Membership Registry.
2. Prepare flyers/brochures concerning your club for publicity.
3. Manpower to mend the booth.
4. Prepare 3 photos to be put up.

Note that booths and display boards are to be shared among the participating clubs.

1. Bonkasi Night Event 2009
The Japanese Cultural Society of UCSI is inviting all students to attend its event on Thursday, 5/03/09 starting from 1:00pm to 11:00pm at North Wing, UCSI.

MM2 Entertainment, a Chinese entertainment program recording company is inviting any clubs or students, especially mass comm students to attend the recording sessions.

Any clubs/students interested to organize a trip for the recording are to see me for more details.

You are given 10 dates to choose from and they are:

March 7, 8, 14 and 15.
April 4, 5, 18, 19, 25 and 26.

Alright Jumper. Seems like more people are watching this blog rather than Facebook group. Alright, I'm just gonna drop my messages here.

We will have our AGM and election for this year on 25th February 2009 at Level 1 (Venue not confirmed yet). The election will be a little special but like it or not -- I am doing it my way (you will know later) mainly because well...after all I'm awesome.

GOOD NEWS:
+3 MEMBERS. Female some more. Foundation some more. Screw ADP.

BAD NEWS:
I am under tons of stress lately because people are telling me different things about the clubs and before you can say anything -- WE ARE BROKE! We will not be getting any budgets. That's for sure.

One more thing is that after everyone (including DSA) telling me that Cincai (you know who) is our advisor -- I truly believe he's one current advisor. Apparently he is not -- so that's a bummer.

OUR CLUB HAS NO FREAKING ADVISOR!!! So Cincai told us to look for:

• Bill
• Zan
• Deva

to be our advisor. I am not interested to approach any of them to ask them to be our advisor (although I would love to see Zan to be our advisor) not because I am selfish (although I am pretty tied up lately) but I don't see that as part of our responsibility.

Now, I am the hate figure around mainly because I debated a couple of words on our problems that I think HELP should have fixed for us. After all, who hired JL the fat belly?

I know some of you think I am not doing anything at all or simply not helping the club -- but come for the meeting please because I will give you all a full disclosure.

What are all of us doing at college anyway?
Did we really pay for the education? or did we pay for the environment, the "recognition"...etc ? Go figure

Since we paid up, what are we doing there?
It seems to me that other than the courseworks, assignments, whatever...we're basically wasting our time with what we term it as "life".

"GET A LIFE"

What is life anyway? And how important is privacy to you? Does it worth anything to you or not? Or is it cuz characters in movies always mention "I need some privacy"..."i need some of my own space"...?

Let me tell you this.
You have no life outside of your learning institution.
Privacy is worth nothing to you and it will only limit your potential.

Your life is within the student club u committed yourself to.
It doesn't matter if u're a committee member or not, your life is there.

If you're so worried on "doing the right thing"...
or... "play it safe, don't get involved too much with anything",
let me tell you this, go f.uck yourself. no club needs members like you.

For the committee members, there's no such thing as getting on the "wrong side" of any staff advisers, lecturers or any admin personnel, thus jeopardizing your "image" in anyone's eye.
You have no such image to start with, without track record, without any reason for anyone to show u any f-ucking respect. When it comes down to the letter of recommendation, will the lecturer actually remember anyone who played it safe?
So what do you think the lecturer will write?
Other than the usual bullshit, what else can he/she think of?

You are nothing until u make something out of yourself.
Good results? Get it then I'll respect your knowledge.
Other than that, what else? Is that all?
Good Frisbee skills? Wow! that's cool!
(and i don't think i want to continue talking with that person)

We Are Not Disbanding -- Yet

I am having a close one on one meeting with commander regarding our issue. I know it's a little unfair not to inform all of you regarding this, but let's face it, we need to fix it ASAP.

And if you hear that we are disbanding or going independent or whatever, just keep it to yourself. We are not disbanding at the moment and we may do so, but bear in mind that we are not disbanding -- at least for now.

On Saturday's pickup, I will explain head-to-toe, Sarah Palin-to-Barack Obama on what I know and what I get from my meeting.

So, please do come for Saturday's pickup.
